What We Believe
Public space is never neutral. Every monument is a decision about who matters, whose contributions endure, and what kind of nation we want to be. We believe those decisions should reflect all of us.
We believe that representation in public space shapes how communities see themselves and each other, and that correcting historical omissions isn't about rewriting the past, but about creating a more complete picture.
We believe change is possible, transformative, and overdue.
What We Want
Australia needs monuments to the women who built this nation in every sense.
To First Nations women who defended their land, families, and sovereignty
To colonial women who won and exported landmark democratic rights
To immigrant women who reshaped the civic, social, and political face of modern Australia
To trans women, disabled women, and women of colour who fought prejudice and expanded rights for their communities
To defiant, resourceful women who broke barriers and made our communities stronger, safer, and fairer
To the women still fighting today to expand what it means to belong, to count, and to have a voice
We want monuments to women's courage, vision, tenacity, and resolve. Historical women who did real things. Not nymphs, angels, or allegorical stand-ins for "womanhood".
We want our cities, towns, suburbs, and federal capital to honour the women who have been written out of our national story, and to give generations to come the role models they deserve.
We want monumental change.

We've built Australia's most comprehensive data set on women's representation in public monuments. Our numbers are cited in policy submissions, media coverage, and campaigns nationwide.
Advocacy
From state budget submissions to independent advisory panels, we translate evidence into action, pushing institutions, councils, and governments to make lasting, equitable change.
Campaigns
We don't just talk about the problem. We fix it. Our campaigns have delivered real monuments to real women, and we're not done yet.
